SURR STHLM

SURR is a curated guide to Stockholm's cultural landscape highlighting arts, culture & community events, published every other Thursday.

From vernissages to poetry readings, artist-run spaces to food markets, SURR publishes a thoughtful selection of the city's creative, cultural, and community happenings so you don't have to navigate through a maze of event platforms and social media.

Inspired by city guides like Cee Cee Berlin and The Skint NYC, we handpick events you won't want to miss.

The spirit behind SURR

This project emerged from my experiences as an international artist (and journalist) mapping Stockholm's cultural landscape since 2021. Stockholm's decentralized events ecosystem leaves many of us subscribing to countless newsletters and tracking scattered Instagram posts, causing meaningful events to fall between the cracks. It became clear to me that we needed a better way to connect these dots and document Stockholm's cultural moments.

SURR isn't just an events listing — it's a living archive and evolving project illuminating spaces, gatherings, and experiences that shape Stockholm's evolving cultural identity.
