Welcome to SURR #4!
As we move through the thick of Stockholm's winter slumber, our first digest of the year brings you a curated selection of exhibition openings, community gatherings, and opportunities for connection and reflection in step with the slow, contemplative spirit of January.
These months of creating and editing SURR have been very inspiring, and I hope you've felt the same reading it. SURR endeavors to illuminate Stockholm's cultural landscape, making our city's arts and community events more visible, accessible, and energizing. Each digest represents significant time and care — from researching events and connecting with organizers, artists, and venues to crafting thoughtful coverage of our city's cultural landscape.
Soon, SURR will introduce paid subscriptions to help keep this project sustainable as it continues to grow.
Free subscribers will continue to receive a robust beginning-of-month digest, while paid subscribers will receive additional digests and updates, access to SURR archives, and an expanded monthly SURR SPOTLIGHT Q&A — intimate, exclusive interviews with local artists, creatives, and community builders. Early supporters will receive special founding member rates — stay tuned for details about these expanded subscription options.
While there is no obligation to upgrade your subscription, I hope you'll choose to support SURR as a paid member (for less than the cost of a bulle & brygkaffe a month). You can still always choose to support this project by remaining or becoming a free subscriber, sharing SURR with your friends and community, and submitting events to us at surrsthlm@gmail.com or on Instagram.
As always, thank you for being here. I wish you a lovely start to your new year.
— Ludi (SURR’s Founder)
